Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration for and participation in events, meetings, and related services provided by Council Events (“Council Events,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).


By registering for, purchasing access to, or attending any Council Events program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services:

Council Events organizes curated executive roundtables, B2B matchmaking programs, private business meetings, conferences, and networking events.

We provide a platform for business discussions and introductions. We do not guarantee commercial transactions, partnerships, investment outcomes, revenue, or sales results.

 

2. Eligibility & Registration:

Participation is subject to acceptance by Council Events, relevance of your organization to the program, and availability of space.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to accept or reject any registration, curate the attendee list, and revoke participation at any time for conduct that we determine to be inappropriate, disruptive, unlawful, or harmful to the event or its participants.
 

3. Fees & Payment

Participation is confirmed only upon full payment or execution of a written agreement.

All fees are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise in writing and must be paid by the due date on the invoice.

Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation of participation.


4. Cancellations & Substitutions:

Participant Cancellation:
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all payments are non-refundable. Substitutions from the same organization may be permitted with prior approval.
 

Event Changes or Cancellation:
Council Events reserves the right to modify the date, format, location, speakers, or agenda and to deliver the event in-person, virtually, or in a hybrid format.
 

If an event is canceled and not rescheduled, Council Events may, at its sole discretion, issue a credit or provide a refund of the participation fee.

Council Events is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other external costs.
 

5. Matchmaking & Meetings:

For B2B matchmaking programs, meetings are arranged based on stated preferences, relevance, and mutual interest. The number and profile of meetings may vary.

We do not guarantee a minimum number of meetings, commercial outcomes, or execution of contracts.


6. Participant Conduct:

Participants agree to act professionally and respectfully, comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and refrain from unauthorized solicitation or disruptive behavior.

Council Events may remove any participant for inappropriate conduct without refund.
 

7. Confidentiality:

Certain sessions may be conducted under the Chatham House Rule.

Participants agree not to disclose the identity or affiliation of other participants without consent and to keep non-public business information confidential.
 

8. Intellectual Property & Media Release:

Council Events may photograph, film, or record events.

By attending, you grant Council Events the right to use your name, likeness, and organization name in event-related marketing and communications.

If you wish to opt out, you must notify us in writing before the event.

All event content and materials remain the intellectual property of Council Events.

 

9. Data Protection:

We collect and use personal and business information for event administration, meeting scheduling, and participant communications.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties:

All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.


11. Limitation of Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by U.S. law, Council Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or business opportunities.

Council Events’ total liability shall not exceed the participation fee paid.


12. Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Council Events and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation in the event, your conduct, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Force Majeure:

Council Events shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, government actions, war, terrorism, travel restrictions, labor disputes, pandemics, or venue unavailability.

In such cases, participation may be transferred to a future event.


14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.


15. Entire Agreement:

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior communications or agreements.
